Jack Daniels wanted to excite their audience, and provide relevance in line with their status as an iconic brand, to engage with their audiences’ lifestyle.
Agency side work with Paul Tinker and Sean Roberts at Communicator. They developed the concept of an app that would time barbeque items so that smoky meats were cooked and could be taken off the grill at the same time and served. The main function of the app was to cook a great barbeque and to be a companion rather than a hard sell of the Jack Daniels brand, incorporating drinks you can have alongside the food. Design work included streamlining the UX and UI design, the look and feel of the app, logo, app icon and button icons.
