13:53 Magazine

Founder and designer, urban vintage lifestyle magazine for emerging artists.

To reach an audience when you start out takes years of persistence, and the punk philosophy of ‘if no-one’s going to publish my work then I’m going to do it myself’ really struck a chord.

  • Client: Personal Project / Category: Print

Founded and created with Fiona Slater, 13:53 was a co-operative magazine providing a platform to promote artists, designers, and photographers. Layout design for the magazine, including space for artists’ work and advertising from local businesses so we could fund the project. With a website built by Ryan McNamara, and features on Kate Moross, Inua Ellams and Rod Hunt, the project exhibited in various venues in South London and the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the South Bank.
